<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method which eliminates complication of steps, combines image quality of an intermediate image formed on an intermediate transfer body and transferability and allows uniform application of a processing liquid onto the intermediate transfer body.SOLUTION: An image recording method comprises: a swelling step; an intermediate image formation step; a liquid reduction step; and a transfer step, carried out in this order. The swelling step adjusts the average length RSm of a roughness curve element, specified by JIS B 0601:2001, to 30μm or smaller and an average height Rc of a roughness curve element, specified by JIS B 0601:2001, to 0.5μm or greater in the intermediate transfer body to be subjected to the intermediate image formation step. The liquid reduction step adjusts the Rc of the intermediate transfer body to be subjected to the transfer step so as to be 0.5 time or smaller than the Rc of the intermediate transfer body to be subjected to the intermediate image formation step.</p> |
