摘要 The present invention relates to a method of increasing the content of syringin and coniferin in a soybean plant compared to a wild form by transforming soybean plant cells with a recombinant vector including a gene coding the recombinant glycosyltransferase UGT72E-3/2 protein, a method for producing transgenic soybean plants with an increased content of syringin and coniferin compared to the wild form, transgenic soybean plants with an increased content of syringin and coniferin compared to the wild form produced thereby and seeds thereof, and a composition for increasing the content of syringin and coniferin in soybean plants including the recombinant vector as an active ingredient. When a gene coding the recombinant glycosyltransferase UGT72E-3/2 protein of the present invention is used, soybean plants containing a large quantity of syringin and coniferin which are not produced in general wild form soybeans can be produced. Accordingly, soybeans with high functionality and high quality are able to be produced, thereby expected to be useful in revitalizing the soybean food industry.
