- 26 Abstract: Control Method for a Road Toll System The invention relates to a control method for a road toll system (1) using vehicle-based on-board units (3), recording vehicles (5), control vehicles (6), cellular mobile communication networks (N), and switching servers (7), comprising: registering (19) a recording vehicle identifier (A) and a mobile communication network cell identifier (CIDAJ) in the switching server (7); selecting (23 to 25) a cell identifier (CIDBk) in a control vehicle (6) and transmitting (27) the same with a control vehicle identifier (Bk) to the switching server (7); associating (29) the control vehicle identifier (Bk) with the recording vehicle identifier (A) for which a cell identifier (CIDA) that is identical to the selected cell identifier (CIDBk) is registered; detecting (33, 35) a traffic or toll violation by means of the recording vehicle (5) and transmitting (40) a violation data record (DELR) to the switching server (7), determining (30) the assigned control vehicle identifier (Bk); transmitting (41) the violation data record (DELR) to the control vehicle (6) identified by the determined identifier (Bk); and processing the violation data record (DELR) in the control vehicle (6).
