<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge-coupled device which can be improved in charge transfer efficiency as compared with a conventional one, a method of manufacturing the same, a method of driving the same, and a solid-state imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: The charge-coupled device has a pair of a first A transfer electrode 511A and a first B transfer electrode 511B and a pair of a second A transfer electrode 512A and a second B transfer electrode 512B, into which a first transfer electrode 511 and a second transfer electrode 512 are separated respectively at openings 531 extending in a horizontal direction 522 that is a direction orthogonal to a vertical direction 521 in which a signal charge generated in the charge-coupled device is transferred.
