The apparatus has a storage stack (1) on flat carton blanks (2), which are provided with a bottom surface, two side walls and multiple end walls. Two erecting stations (3,6) and a storage station (8) for the erected folding boxes (20) are provided. Each uppermost carton blank is formed into an open sleeve in the former erecting station, which is subsequently filled. The front end straps are applied to the sleeve and subsequently locked in the latter erecting station immediately subsequent to the former erecting station. |
