<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise from being generated by rasping of upper ends of balusters and a top rail in strong winds, without spoiling the appearance of a handrail unit. <P>SOLUTION: The handrail unit includes two supporting posts arranged at an interval, the top rail and a bottom rail arranged at an interval between the supporting posts, a plurality of balusters arranged at intervals between the top rail and the bottom rail, and a vibration control device arranged horizontally outside of each of side parts of an upper end of each of the balusters, and fitted to each of the side parts and the top rail. The vibration control device includes a rigid body comprising a side part vertical to a horizontal direction and a horizontal top part arranged on the side part, and a sheet-shaped elastic body comprising a vertical part parallel to the side part and bonded to the side part by a surface thereof, and a lateral part parallel to the top part and bonded to the top part by a surface thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
