The battery cell has a housing that is provided with a first housing portion (1) and second housing portion (2). The housing portions are connected with each other through fold portion (3). The fold portion is designed to make the first housing portion in open state upon application of the force, so that the second housing portion is operatively connected with new first housing portion without reforming the second housing portion while maintaining deformation state of fold portion in second housing portion for production of new fold portion. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) the method for producing battery cell; and (2) a motor car.
