The invention is related to a method, excitation arrangement, control device, control system and computer program product for providing improvements in relation to a model of a process (28) being controlled in a process control system. The excitation arrangement comprises an excitation signal generator (34) generating an excitation signal ( r ) , an adding unit (36) for adding the excitation signal to an output signal (uc) from the control device for obtaining an input control signal ( u ) to the process (28) having an excitation signal contribution ( r ) and an adjusting unit (38) configured to receive a process response ( y ), adjust the process response through removing an estimated influence of the excitation signal contribution ( r ), and supply the adjusted process response ( yc ) to the control device. |
