The present invention relates to a composition which includes a nrdH gene and enhances tolerance of a plant to cold stress and salt stress; and to a plant cell or a plant transformed by the composition. The present invention also relates to a preparation method of a transgenic plant to which nrdH gene is introduced to enhance tolerance to cold stress and salt stress. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method for enhancing tolerance of the plant to cold stress and salt stress by introducing nrdH gene to the plant.
