Provided in the present invention are a method for informing food ingredients needed in cooking and a method for controlling a cooking device using an application with functions of: visually displaying titles on a plurality of dishes which may be cooked by a specific cooking device; displaying one or more food ingredients needed for cooking the dishes corresponding to the displayed dish title; allowing a user to select at least one among a plurality of displayed dish titles; allowing the user to select at least one contact point and communications method; and transmitting the selected dish title and its corresponding food ingredients to the selected contact point via the communications method.
