The present invention provides a distributed frequency synchronization method and a device thereof in a wireless mesh network are provided. According to the present invention, a distributed frequency synchronization method in a wireless mesh network includes: a step of receiving a preamble from at least one neighbor node which are existing within a predetermined radius at the current frequency update time and collecting neighbor carrier frequency offset information; a step of determining a carrier frequency offset compensation value of transmission data in the next frequency update time using the collected neighbor carrier frequency offset information; and a step of repetitively performing the steps until the neighbor carrier frequency offset information becomes less than a predetermined threshold value.
