PURPOSE: An access authority control method by application and a user terminal thereof are provided to set differentiated terminal access authority for each application and to supply various interfaces to authenticated applications, thereby improving security of the terminal. CONSTITUTION: An authentication information management unit(210) manages authentication information of applications(10-30) received from a market server. When an application is run, an access authority determination unit(230) reads the authentication information of the application from the authentication information management unit based on application information and stores the same in a memory. Based on the authentication information, the access authority determination unit determines the access authority of the application to an API(Application Program Interface) called by the application. The authentication information includes an API list to which the application has the access authority and an API access authority level.
