A reading device for Fourier holograms in reflection is described, in which a source of coherent light (2) illuminates a Fourier hologram (1), is there reflected and diffracted, is focused by a lens system (6) on a reflector (7) and is reflected once more onto the hologram (1), so that the light reflected from the hologram (1) for the second time generates the reconstruction on a camera (3) with the aid of a lens system (5). <IMAGE>
