The wheel in the parent Specification is modified in that the rings 12, 13 forming the annular V-sectioned flange are cold pressed or shrunk on to the outer periphery of a supporting web 18 which is integral with the hub 11. For additional security the joint seams may be welded as at 19. The rings 12, 13 may be cut from a rolled V-section blank 14, Fig. 2, and the shrunk-on fit may be effected by chilling of the web 18 to avoid damage to the polyurethane or like rim-cushioning inserts 4, 41.</p> |
