A dermatome consists of the body with the movable carriage and the steel blade and the upper pressing bar with the mechanism of gap adjustment. The upper pressing bar is immobile. The mechanism of gap adjustment is installed onto the movable carriage. The blade position is adjusted with the retainer screw.
