The present invention relates to a device for connecting reinforcing bars which comprises a metal coupling body and multiple tightening bolts. The coupling body has an upper plate horizontally placed on the front and rear thereof. The upper plate has a side plate integrated with and bent downwardly from one side thereof. The side plate has a lower plate, which is parallel to and separated with a fixed space from the upper plate, integrated with and bent from the lower part thereof. The coupling body has an opening formed between the upper and lower plates on the other side thereof. The upper plate has female screw holes formed on the front and rear sides thereof, respectively. The lower plate has curved section forming holes corresponding to female screw holes of the upper plate on the front and rear sides thereof. The tightening bolts are vertically inserted into the female screw holes of the coupling body and coupled to the coupling body by screwing. The coupling body has two reinforcing bars inserted through the opening thereof and collinearly interposed therein, wherein the reinforcing bars have the ends close to each other. |
