THRUST BALL BEARING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust ball bearing which causes only small wear and achieves long life even under an environment that a refrigerant is mixed in a lubrication oil of the thrust ball bearing to cause low-viscosity lubrication and a sufficient oil film is not formed.SOLUTION: A thrust ball bearing includes: a pair of races which are disposed in parallel to each other so as to be separated from each other in an axial direction; multiple balls which are disposed between the pair of races so as to roll therebetween; and a holder which is disposed between the pair of races and holds the multiple balls at a substantially equal interval. Lipophilic treatment is performed on rolling surfaces of the pair of races.
