Provided are a device for feeding sheets, brochures, or the like, configured in such a manner that the range of adjustment which can be adjusted according to the thickness of objects to be conveyed is wider than that of conventional products, and a system for sorting documents to be dispatched, provided with the device. A device (10) for feeding sheets, brochures, or the like, wherein a movable shaft (20) is vertically movably supported by a fixed sleeve (11) and wherein a main compression coiled spring (25) and a sub compression coiled spring (26) are provided between the movable shaft (20) and the fixed sleeve (11), the main compression coiled spring (25) being adapted to apply to the movable shaft (20) a main springing force by which a restriction member (30) for restricting sending of the objects in a superposed state is pressed to a conveyance belt (63), the sub compression coiled spring (26) being adapted to apply a sub springing force directed in the opposite direction to that in which the main springing force is applied. The position of a pressing washer (23B) is moved downward by screw thread engaging operation of an upper end adjustment bolt (23A), and this causes, even if the springing force of the main compression coiled spring (25) increases, the increment to be offset by an increase in the springing force of the sub compression coiled spring (26). |
