PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light source which illuminates a body to be visualized from the same sight line as a camera by using a thin planar lighting device and has transparency capable of taking an image free from shadow, and to provide an image taking method using the planar light source.SOLUTION: A planar light source having transparency includes: a plurality of luminous bodies 3 which irradiate only the direction of a body 8 to be visualized with light; a plurality of transparent windows 2 for visualizing the body 8 to be visualized or taking image with a camera from a surface of the side opposite to the luminous bodies 3; and a support substrate 1 on which the plurality of luminous bodies 3 and the plurality of transparent windows 2 are arranged on the same surface in a regular pattern having a pitch of an extent of 2 μm to 3 mm. |
