PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid ejection head by which even though a base material is warped, misalignment of a position onto which an adhesive is applied is minimized relative to a liquid supply port, and the adhesive entering the liquid supply port is thereby reduced.SOLUTION: There is provided the method of manufacturing a liquid ejection head having a base material 1 in which an array of liquid supply ports is formed and a liquid ejection device that is connected to the base material 1 with an adhesive 30. The method includes the steps of: defining a first virtual reference line along a longitudinal direction of the base material 1 and measuring distance between the first virtual reference line and at least two liquid supply ports of the array of liquid supply ports; defining a second virtual reference line 23 that is disposed between two virtual straight lines parallel to the first virtual reference line and that passes through each of the liquid supply port having the measured shortest distance and the liquid supply port having the measured longest distance; applying the adhesive 30 onto the base material 1 based on the second virtual reference line 23; and joining the liquid ejection device to the base material 1. |
