SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEARCHING PREVIOUS SHIP DRAWING

The present invention relates to a system for searching a previous ship drawing and a method thereof comprising a design terminal and a PLM server. The design terminal transmits a search condition set with design object ship information comprising a ship number and a drawing number of an inputted design object to a product lifecycle management (PLM) server; requests a previous ship drawing search having a feature which is similar to the design object; and receives the previous ship drawing from the PLM server. The PLM server searches previous ship information having the feature which is similar to the design object ship information by receiving a previous ship drawing search request; classifies the previous ship information which corresponds to an item designated by the search condition; and offers a previous ship drawing to the design terminal based on the previous ship information after a search. The present invention is provided to rapidly search the previous ship drawing and widely search the previous ship drawing without the memory of a designer in case of searching the previous ship drawing to design a ship in a dockyard.
