The present invention is provided with: a light source for emitting excitation light in a first direction; a base part (30) to which the light source is attached; an opening part (30a) provided in the base part (30) on a first-direction side with respect to the light source; a cantilevered beam part (31) supported in cantilevered fashion by the base part (30) so as to extend toward the center of the opening part (30a) from an inside edge of the opening part (30a); an optical path conversion part (20) for converting the propagation direction of the excitation light emitted from the light source to a second direction different from the first direction and radiating the excitation light converted to the second direction to a measurement object, the optical path conversion part (20) being fixed on a free-end side of the cantilevered beam part (31); and a photodetection element for detecting the fluorescence that has passed through the opening part (30a) from among the fluorescence generated from the measurement object irradiated with the excitation light, the photodetection element being disposed on the reverse side of the opening part (30a) from the measurement object. A fluorescence detection device is thereby provided in which loss of fluorescence guided to the photodetection element can be reduced, and the efficiency of fluorescence detection can be enhanced. |
