The element (4) has a molding part (5) partially or completely made from form-stable plastic and comprising an upper side, a lower side and a casing for forming an inner area. The casing extends from the upper side to the lower side, and the inner area is provided for partially or completely accommodating root-forming plants (6) and opened at the upper side. Reinforcements are designed in the form of helically rotating rods and arranged at an outer side of the casing for protecting the molding part against deformation.
