Disclosed in the present invention is a method of designing and implementing application software for a room lamp control system of a vehicle which is compatible with the automotive open system architecture (AUTOSAR) standard platform specification. As one embodiment, the method of designing and implementing application software for a room lamp control system of a vehicle includes: a step of forming a platform including at least an AUTOSAR run time environment (RTE) as a middleware layer and basic software (BSW) as a basic software layer; a step of designing a software component related to a room lamp of a vehicle; and a step of forming an AUTOSAR platform by setting the designed software component as an upper layer of the platform.
