<p>A support arm (10) includes a bracket (26) supported by a support (21), a bracket (27) arranged away from the bracket (26), a parallel link (30) arranged between the bracket (;26;) and the bracket (27) and coupled pivotally to the bracket (26) and the bracket (27), and a self-weight compensation device (50) producing a force that cancels a force of gravity acting on the parallel link (30). The parallel link (30) has an upper shaft (31) and a lower shaft (36) arranged in parallel to each other with spacing, the spacing being changed with a pivoting movement of the parallel link (30). The upper shaft (31) and the lower shaft (36) are arranged offset with respect to each other in a direction of an axis on which the parallel link (30) is pivoted. With such a structure, a support arm for which a large movable range is achieved is provided.</p> |
