A resonator for an engine according to the present invention comprises: a main body member (10) in the shape of a pipe; and an inner member (20) inserted into the main body member to be welded. A method for manufacturing a bellows-type main body member (10) comprises the steps of: roughly forming a plurality of extension parts (11) by applying high water pressure into pipes in the process of inserting the stainless steel pipes, which have been cut into constant length and have constant diameter, into a die; and distinctly forming the extension parts (11) and a plurality of non-extension parts (12) therebetween by a press die from outside while maintaining high water pressure inside the pipes. The bellows-type main body member (10) has two to 10 extension parts (11) formed thereon, wherein the widths of the extension parts increases in an exhausting direction. In addition, the heights of the extension parts formed on the bellows-type main body member (10) increases in an exhausting direction. In addition, the widths and heights of the extension parts formed on the bellows-type main body member (10) increases in an exhausting direction simultaneously. |
