PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for detecting half-disconnection or whole-disconnection of a multi-light type color light signal, for easily knowing a faulty lamp in a separate place from a job site. SOLUTION: A disconnection detecting device 1 is provided by connecting an electric current sensor CT to a monitoring line of respective signal lights of using an LED for a light emitting source, and includes an input part 14 connected to the monitoring line via the electric current sensor CT and having an amplifying circuit 11 and an A/D conversion circuit 12, a display 3 for displaying indication information for expressing a monitoring line number of the respective monitoring lines or an electric current value flowing to the monitoring lines, a control part 15 for comparing input information from the monitoring lines with a threshold value of the respective signal lights preset in a memory, an alarm lamp 4 for displaying any of the half-disconnection or the whole-disconnection of the monitoring lines, and a plurality of operation buttons 5-8 for displaying the electric current value or the indication information displayed on the display 3, and the control part 15 determines the signal light put in a state of the half-disconnection or the whole-disconnection by flashing or lighting the indication information.
