<p>A display panel for an electronic device, has a base unit and a cover screen on which a plurality of display symbols, such as play or pause symbols, are arranged, in use, to be visibly illuminated. Each display symbol is associated with a light emission chamber 132 formed in the base unit. Each light emission chamber is closed at the sides and base and has an associated light source such as LED 128 arranged to emit light therein. Each light emission chamber has an aperture 136 arranged such that an associated display symbol is, in use, indirectly illuminated by said light source through the aperture. A control unit may also be provided with graspable cylindrical bezel (112, figure 4) arranged around a display panel (106, figure 3) such that the cylindrical bezel is rotatable about an axis of rotation with respect to the display panel and base mount section.</p> |
