PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp which is bright immediately after lighting, and brightness decrease of which is small during life period, and to provide a lighting fixture for vehicle.SOLUTION: A discharge lamp includes a light emission part internally having a discharge space filled with a metallic halide containing a halide of tin, and a pair of electrodes arranged to face each other at a predetermined distance and projecting into the discharge space. The ratio of halide of tin contained in the metallic halide is 0.5-1.4 wt%, and the distance between the light emission part and the inside wall is 0.9-1.2 mm. |
