PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female terminal having high connection reliability that can be surely conductively connected to a male terminal with avoiding large-size design and a method of molding the female terminal.SOLUTION: A male terminal guide portion 51 is formed at the front end of a box portion 12 which is provided with an insertion port 36 at one surface of the box portion 12 where the base end 45a of a contact point spring 45 is located, and has a guide face 52 for guiding into the box portion 12 a tab piece 16 of a male terminal 15 to be inserted from the insertion port 36 into the box portion 12. When the tab piece 16 of the male terminal 15 is inserted into the box portion 12, the contact point 46 is brought into contact with the tab piece 16 of the male terminals 15, and the contact point spring 45 which displaces outwards is released from the lock of the male terminal guide 51. |
