PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof capable of preventing generation of color unevenness even when a light emitting element has emission intensity which is higher in a vertical direction than that of the sides.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 10 includes: a board 20 having electrodes formed on an insulation board 21; a light emitting element 30, the light emission intensity distribution of which has a peak in a vertical direction; a first wavelength conversion layer 50 which contains fluorescent substance which generates a light of a wavelength which is converted being agitated by the light from the light emitting element 30; a light transmission layer 60 of a hemispherical shape which covers the first wavelength conversion layer 50; and a second wavelength conversion layer 70 that corrects the chromaticity of the light from the light emitting element 30 passing through the first wavelength conversion layer 50 by converting the wavelength with fluorescent substance contained in a concave portion 60a of the light transmission layer 60 including the light emitting element 30 in the vertical direction. By using the same fluorescent substance which is contained in the first wavelength conversion layer 50 and the second wavelength conversion layer 70, plural kind of resins containing fluorescent substance for forming the first wavelength conversion layer 50 and the second wavelength conversion layer 70 are not required to be prepared. |
