PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimension measuring device for a metal thin plate and a dimension measuring method for the metal thin plate that can accurately measure a dimension of the metal thin plate.SOLUTION: A dimension measuring device 11 for a metal thin plate includes: a placing plate 21 on which the metal thin plate is placed; a first tensile mechanism 23 that is configured to provide a first tensile force to the metal thin plate in a first direction; a second tensile mechanism 43 that is configured to provide a second tensile force to the metal thin plate in a second direction; and a measuring mechanism 13 that measures at least one dimension of the metal thin plate in a state of being provided with the first and second tensile forces.
