PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print data processing apparatus which properly operates even if hardware resources of a computer for constituting the print data processing apparatus are insufficient for executing a plurality of interpretation parts.SOLUTION: A start resource determination part 37 acquires the quantity of hardware calculation resources (memory capacity, the number of CPU cores, or the like) of a computer as a base of a front end device 30, to determine the number of interpretation units (the number of units to be started) which can be executed by the resources. When the determined number of units to be started is two or more, a configuration control part 39 starts an interpretation system 35 including a form interpretation part 36-f which specializes in interpreting a form and registers a result thereof on a form cache 48, and a plurality of logical page interpretation parts 36-pa for interpreting a logical page. When the determined number of units to be started is one, the configuration control part starts an interpretation system 35 formed of one logical page interpretation part which interprets the logical page and the form (and registers it on the form cache 48). |
