The present invention relates to an electronic shelf label and a method for displaying the electronic shelf label. The electronic shelf label comprises a segment display unit; a dot-matrix display unit; a display unit driving chip for generating a control signal which turns on or off a segment and a dot of the segment display unit and of the dot-matrix display unit; an RF module for performing communications with a relay or a server; and a control unit for generating a control command which controls the display unit driving chip according to a signal received through the RF module.
