The present invention relates to an apparatus for adjusting tension of a driving chain for an escalator capable of controlling and adjusting looseness of the tension in the chain caused by usage for a long time at a driving part for rotating the escalator. Particularly, the present invention relates to an apparatus for adjusting tension of a driving chain for an escalator, forming a long shaped hole at a lower coupling plate to freely adjust a position of a motor in a horizontal direction and fixate the motor and enabling a motor frame at an upper end of the lower coupling plate to be finely moved in a horizontal direction according to rotation of an adjusting screw screw-coupled to a support plate in the outside of the long shaped hole, in order to adjust the tension of the chain connected to a sprocket coupled to an end of a shaft of a rotating motor and connected to a sprocket for a step chain wherein the rotating motor generates a strong rotational force to rotate the steps of the escalator, thereby making the motor move a set distance in a horizontal direction, tightening an assembly bolt, fixating the motor at the position and adjusting the tension of the chain. |
