<p>The piston (10) has a piston head (11) and a piston shaft (17). The piston head includes piston head portion (12), combustion bowl (13), peripheral ring portion (15) and circulating cooling passage (16) in region of ring portion. A cavity (28) made of low melting metal or metal alloy is provided adjacent to combustion bowl, for receiving coolant (29) in cooling passage. The low melting metal is selected from sodium or potassium. The low melting metal alloy is selected from Galinstan (RTM: commercial liquid metal alloy), bismuth alloy or sodium potassium alloys.</p> |
