PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in charge/discharge cycle characteristics and high in current cut-off performance upon overcharge.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery of the present invention includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a gas generating additive, and a pressure type current cut-off mechanism. The gas generating additive contains bicyclohexyl as a first additive, and contains one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of biphenyl, cyclohexylbenzene, ortho-terphenyl, meta-terphenyl and para-terphenyl, as a second additive. |
