<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinged raked wing tip which realizes both aircraft aerodynamic efficiency and wingspan limitation without increase in weight.SOLUTION: A wing assembly comprises a raked wing tip 240 having an outboard portion 344 hinged to one of a main wing 350 having at least one moveable control surface 352, 354 and an inboard raked wing tip portion 342. The outboard portion of the raked wing tip does not carry any moveable flight control surfaces.</p> |
