PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that prevents the occurrence of fixing offset, and suppresses the occurrence of contamination of a recording material and winding jam due to offset toner.SOLUTION: When a recording sheet 412 passes between a fixing roller 401 and a pressure roller 402, in the fixing roller 401 brought into contact with an unfixed toner (413) image, a diode 404 is selected that is connected with the fixing roller 401 in a direction to hold electric charge with the same polarity as the polarity of the toner, and in the pressure roller 402, a diode 403 is selected that is connected with the pressure roller 402 in a direction to hold electric charge with the reverse polarity to the polarity of the toner. Whereas when the recording sheet 412 does not pass between the fixing roller 401 and pressure roller 402, in the fixing roller 401 brought into contact with the unfixed toner (413) image, a diode 406 is selected that is connected with the fixing roller 401 in a direction to hold the electric charge with the reverse polarity to the polarity of the toner, and in the pressure roller 402, a diode 405 is selected that is connected with the pressure roller 402 in a direction to hold the electric charge with the same polarity as the polarity of the toner. |
