PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control unit which easily deals with display of an image of high resolution in that data write-in and read-out of a frame buffer memory are performed at display timing.SOLUTION: A display control unit has a plurality of line buffers (51 to 54), can perform in parallel write processing for writing display data of the plurality of display lines from outside to a part of the line buffers and read-out processing for reading the written display data of the plurality of display lines from other line buffers, compresses the display line data read from the line buffers, and stores them to a frame buffer memory (28). Compressed display data read out of the frame buffer memory is read by the line to be extended to display data of the plurality of display lines, and a signal electrode of a display device is driven by using the extended display data. |
