<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a fixing device capable of surely preventing permanent distortion of a pressure member, at low cost and with a simple construction.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a heating member 21 heated by a heat source 34, a pressure member 22 coming into press-contact with the heating member 21 to form a fixing nip 37 between the pressure member 22 and the heating member 21, a temperature detection part 35 detecting the temperature of the heating member 21, a driving part rotating the pressure member 22, a control part which can receive the temperature of the heating member 21 detected by the temperature detection part 35 and can transmit a drive command signal to the driving part, and a storage part storing a plurality of rotation base temperatures set between a heating base temperature and a cooling base temperature. The control part rotates the pressure member 22 by a predetermined angle by the driving part, to change the rotational position of the pressure member 22, whenever the temperature of the heating member 21 detected by the temperature detection part 35 falls to each rotation base temperature, after the heating of the heating member 21 by the heat source 34 is stopped.</p> |
