Ad Hoc Network Connection

Example disclosed herein relate to an ad hoc network connection. A first mobile device initiates a request for an ad hoc wireless local area network (WLAN) connection with a second mobile device via a cellular network. Location information of the second mobile device is received and a distance of the second mobile device to the first mobile device is determined from the location information. If the distance is within a threshold, the first mobile device and the second mobile device exchange WLAN parameters and the ad hoc WLAN connection is established using the WLAN parameters.
