PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation method and a separation membrane capable of selectively separating and recovering 1,3-butadiene from a mixed gas containing 1,3-butadiene and carbohydrate having 4 carbon atoms other than 1,3-butadiene.SOLUTION: A metal complex containing dicarboxylic acid compound having 4 carbon atoms, an ion of at least one kind of metals, and an organic ligand capable of bidentate coordination to the metal ion and represented by the general formula (I), and having a structure in which jungle gym skeletons are interpenetrating doubly is used as a gas separation material. |
