A long obliquely-stretched film according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a thermoplastic resin, and the orientation angle of the obliquely-stretched film is orientated in an oblique direction in relation to the width direction. The long obliquely-stretched film is characterised by being wound into a roll shape and in that the angle formed by the orientation angle of the film and the width direction of the film has longitudinal intervals of 10mm or more to less than 1500mm in the longitudinal direction of the film, and the amplitude of the longitudinal intervals is 0.2°-1.0° inclusive. The long obliquely-stretched film, if manufactured using a bend-type oblique stretching device, does not tend to experience winding deviation during winding, or deformation when the roll-shaped wound body obtained is stored for a long period. Furthermore, the long obliquely-stretched film is capable of suppressing occurrence of colour mottling, even when used in a circularly polarising plate used in an image display device, such as an organic EL display, which has extremely high contrast. |
