PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which a conventional fishing reel is not suitable for miniaturization because a width between a seal member and a mounting portion thereof cannot be narrowed even though a waterproof mechanism of a drag mechanism in the conventional fishing rod has sufficient waterproofness.SOLUTION: A fishing reel has: a disk-shaped drive gear formed with first and second annular recessed parts with a wall part sandwiched on one side face; and a fixing braking part slidably fitting a braking member into the first annular recessed part, fitted and fixed on a drive shaft imparted with drive by a handle, adjustably pressing the braking member, imparting braking force to the drive gear, and cooperating with the drive gear. A mounting part of a seal member is elastically mounted and fixed onto a circumferential wall face on the second annular part side, the seal member extends from the mounting part and passes through a top part of the wall part, and a seal face is elastically pressed on the outer circumferential face of the fixing braking part to hold watertight to the braking member. |
