This automatic analyzer: decreases the amount of wasted consumables and decreases the burden on an operator in a rerun process that is performed when a batch preparation operation is suspended or stopped; and enables an analysis preparation process and analysis completion process to be efficiently performed without omission. In the automatic analyzer: a storage unit (25) stores batch operation information, and rerun setting information, which sets rerun maintenance items for which a rerun is to be initiated with respect to maintenance items that are suspended, when a batch operation for a plurality of maintenance items is suspended midway; and a computer (3) consecutively executes the plurality of maintenance items on the basis of the batch operation information, and in the event that the batch operation for the plurality of maintenance items was suspended midway, reruns maintenance from rerun maintenance items corresponding to the suspended maintenance items on the basis of the suspended maintenance items and the rerun setting information. |
