<p>A wearable article fabrication method comprises: a step of severing, with a rotation of a cutter roll (5), a sheet material (20) which is conveyed in a conveyance direction, and forming a sheet fragment (2) which is cut in the conveyance direction; a step of, while preserving the orientation of the cut sheet fragment (2) so as to be in line with the conveyance direction, conveying the cut sheet fragment (2) at a first conveyance velocity (V1) toward a transfer roll (7); a step of rotating the transfer roll (7) at a second conveyance velocity (V2) which is faster than the first conveyance velocity (V1), handing off successive sheet fragments (2), which are conveyed at the first conveyance velocity (V1), to the circumference face of the transfer roll (7), and conveying each sheet fragment (2) toward an adhesion device (8); and a step of adhering each sheet fragment to a sheet band for adhesion (30), with the transfer roll (7) and the adhesion device (8).</p> |
