The device i.e. swivel unit (10), has two concentric annular structures supported together and coupled with a drive such that the structures are mutually displaceable with respect to each other, where the device is directly or indirectly secured or fastened at an assembly device. A receiving structure (12) i.e. flat solar energy receiver, is fixedly coupled with a rod, which is connected with an associated horizontal push rod, by a rotatably mounted joint, where a carrier structure is directly or indirectly secured or fastened at the receiving structure. An independent claim is also included for a method for rotating a carrier structure around a major axis, for use in a solar panel system and a photovoltaic system.
