The reagent station (1) has a primary reagent container storage (2) having receiving positions (8) for a reagent container, and a secondary reagent container storage (10) having receiving positions (14) for reagent containers. The receiving position is accessible by a user access element for a user. A transfer device (20) transfers a reagent container between the primary and the secondary reagent container storages. The receiving position of the secondary reagent container storage is arranged in a circular manner and the second secondary reagent container storage is rotatably mounted.
