The present invention relates to a structure for installing a sensor for an automatic door of a vehicle. The present invention includes an aluminum frame where a sliding glass door is inserted and fixed; a hollow rubber member which an opening unit joined to the aluminum frame is formed on one side thereof and which includes vertical protrusions formed in all directions on the inner circumference except for the opening unit; and a photo-sensor which is composed of a pair of light-emitting devices and a pair of light-receiving devices which are vertically inserted and installed on both ends of the rubber member. The present invention provides the structure for installing the sensor for an automatic door of a vehicle which is characterized by being switched as the shape of the hollow rubber member is changed when pressure is applied on the hollow rubber member then light passages formed by the light-emitting and light-receiving devices are blocked by the protrusions formed on the inner circumference of the hollow rubber member. If the structure for installing the sensor for an automatic door of a vehicle according to the present invention is applied on a vehicle, the hollow rubber member relieves impact when a passenger or a part of a body of a passenger collides to the lateral surface of the automatic door and the automatic door of a vehicle is opened by the switching operation of the photo-sensor at the same time so that the present invention improves safety of the automatic door. |
